What is home staging?
The preparation/decoration of a private residence to be sold in the real estate market. Simple terms — We make your house visually appealing, setting it apart from others in the market, to try and facilitate a faster sale at a higher price.
Is home staging worth it?
Yes! The National Association of Realtors states that for every $100 you invest in staging your home, your potential return is $400. Data supports that homes that are staged stand a greater chance of selling for a higher price and move off the market more quickly.
Does home staging really work?
Another yes! We have taken homes that were un-staged and not selling, staged them, and moved them within a week or two afterwards. We see it time and time again.
Do home stagers sell their furniture?
On occasion. We personally don’t mind folks inquiring and we have sold a few items over the years. Sometimes we feature paintings from local artists, and those are typically always for sale.
Are home staging costs tax deductible?
The basic answer is “yes.” Home staging costs that you, as the homeowner, incur in order to sell your home will reduce any capital gains taxes you’ll have to pay on profit earned from the sale.
What is the average cost for home staging?
In our market, our basic staging is most often around $1500. Depending on client/home needs it could be more or less. Contact us in the form below for a detailed quote.
How much do home stagers make?
Not much, lol. Ongoing inventory costs, storage costs, and transport costs leave a small company like ours with a small margin, but one we are happy with. We love what we do!
